Exodus! Thousands of Palestinians
crossed the Rafah border into Egypt after gunmen breached the wall
overnight
You
gotta see the BBC photos!
As you know I'm against violence, but I'm not against knocking down
walls. Thanks to Ron for this link
to a news video.
Newsweek:
It's hard to imagine a more vivid postcard of Palestinian deprivation
than the scene this morning at the sun-bleached crossing between Egypt
and the Gaza Strip. After masked men blew a series of huge holes in the
border fence late
last night, thousands of Palestinians streamed through the holes and
swarmed the streets of the Egyptian border town of Rafah, clearing
local shops of whatever they could manage to buy and carry off: milk,
powdered detergent ...
Try to starve us,
Israel, they're saying! I can't wait for
the day when the cause against war and occupation becomes so real that
it leaves police forces everywhere looking on "helplessly or
sympathetically" to the people's revolt.
The Palestinians
have every right to do what they've done. Israel is committing
war crimes in Gaza!
Look at what the conservative media are saying. Reuters:
Hamas exposes Israeli weakness; Time:
Hamas Beats Israel's Gaza Siege
They're literally
cheering for the Palestinians! And it's the first
time in a long time I"ve heard any kind of upbeat excitement from TV
talking heads. There's a little of the rebel in everybody, it seems.
Way to go Gaza!
