Yes,
YaYa, you are right. There actually
are a lot of people over here that are still very decent and know the
difference between right and bush but you don't hear about/from them
because the media is all corporate owned and will now be policed and
vetted and saved or purged by huge corporations like our friendly,
patriotic buddies at ATT. Isn't that special? Kind of gives you that
warm feeling inside like you've just swallowed a live gerbal, ay what?
Anyway, hope to be living there again real soon. Looking forward to
conversing in real English again.
Ciao. |

Hi
Corinne
I saw a reference this morning about Canada voting for Israel against the Palestineans in Gaza, but could not find the article. Attached is the article describing the incidence for your info. It is real time we get rid of Harper and his cronies. http://www.vivelecanada.ca/article.php/20080125184924516 |

If
there is any miracle in Israel's
existence it is that the lies upon which it is founded could be
perpetuated for so long, despite glaringly obvious truths to the
contrary. Indeed, it is a miracle that such grave injustice could reign
for so long uncontested.

Well,
boys and girls in Canadialand, your
national hero, little stevie harper has gone and done it again! He has
officially put in his vote (ergo, Canada's) as being in favor of the
bloody, genocidal apartheid being practiced in the Gaza Strip AS WE
SPEAK by israel.
I told you to keep an eye on your bush clone, but would you listen? Noooooooooo! See??? Waddid I tells ya! Ya godda keep a lot shorter reign on that mishugena little critter, or better yet--GET HIM THE HELL OUT OF OFFICE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!! But, then, after trying to survive the parent organism over here for 7 years (feels like an eternity in hell, actually), what do I know? Oh, well . . . The 'merkans over here aren't bright enough to learn . . . my fervent hope is that we still are. God Bless . . . Go Forward! Jack |

David,
thank you for your comment. I wish
I could do justice to First Nations issues, but I'm just a blogger who
basically reacts to mis/disinformation in the news in the areas listed
at the top of my home page - war/occupation etc.
When major aboriginal issues appear in the news I do scrutinize them carefully for media distortion and provide extra links so that my readers are as fully informed as I have the ability to make them about that particular issue. I have also provided permanent links to aboriginal news sites and radio stations where the news about First Nations is likely to be more accurate. However, because I am keenly aware that "O Canada ... our home's on native land", in the past year I did three major photo reports, two of which focused solely on First Nations actions and one that included pro-aboriginal sentiment. The year before that I wrote an extensive review after seeing the film: Ipperwash: A Canadian Tragedy and also wrote an event report that included a comparison of the occupation of Canada with that of Palestine. Being a multi-issue site, I doubt I will ever do full justice to any one particular issue. But I think that if we don't stop the wars and deep integration into US foreign and domestic policy, Canadians are going to find out the hard way that aboriginal issues are Canadian issues, and that we're all in this together. Again, David, thanks so much for speaking up honestly. |

Hi.
I would like Yaya to focus more on the
responsibility non-aboriginal Canadians have for their dispossession of
native Canadians, and the subsequent occupation of Canada by
non-aboriginals and their descendants, and the ongoing systemic
discrimination practiced against the aboriginal population.

According to the Turkish Daily News, Turkey has the best relations with Israel of any country in the Middle East.... This could explain why the much gagged FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds is claiming that while working as an FBI translator she discovered both Turkish and Israeli spy operations had infiltrated the US to steal nuclear secrets and technology for sale on the black market, much of it ending up in Pakistan. The real scandal, according to Sibel, is not that these spy rings exist but that they have been operating with the protection of State Department officials and US politicians who have been accepting bribes to provide cover and look the other way (AKA Treason). There have been a couple of recent articles in the London Sunday Times which appear to back up the evidence for high level treason by US officials and politicians which Ms. Edmonds has been doing her best to get out to the public while trying, if possible, to avoid ending up in jail for breaching her government imposed gag orders. Here's a snip from a Sunday Times January 6th article on Sibel Edmonds case:
Here's the link to the second and most recent article by the Sunday Times: Sunday Times Article 2 Here's a link to bradblog.com's blog on the topic. www.bradblog.com/?p=5582 Also this topic is receiving some attention at Democraticunderground.com, see: Democratic Underground Sibel Edmonds Discussion |

here it is: http://www.rustynode.com/

This Website is a great resource for so many of us in cyberspace who regularly seek an alternative news source, one with some humanity in it. I'm grateful you were able to make the changes you felt were necessary so that the authoring and upkeep of YYC was not so burdensome for you. A regular reader and Yaya fan, Brian |

Frances,
you've made me happy on two
counts. The first is your location. Even though I'm located in Ottawa,
I've wanted the site to be of interest across Canada. Second: you don't
find me too negative to tolerate. Believe me, sometimes I feel as if I
am, and I do empathize completely with your being weighed down by the
news. One's sense of humour can take a real beating in these sad and
worrisome times.
Thanks very much for writing and thanks for hanging in with YayaCanada. |

Thank
you so much for taking the time and
effort to maintain this site.
Over the last few months I have become completely overwhelmed with all the negative news/opinions and, as a result have chosen to severely curtail my website favourites list. your site, along with a handfull of others, remain on my regular reading list. Heres to keeping it real and staying balanced in a truely bizzaro and surreal news/media environment. Thanks again. |

Beware!
The joke here in the U.S. is that
with harper (a.k.a. bush lite) running the country, it is only a matter
of time before Canada becomes the 51st state. The NAU is no joke!
Neither is that highway they have ALREADY BUILT from Mexico right
through the middle of this country and into the heart of Canada.
If I sound a bit alarmed; good! The sovereignty of Canada and quite possibly its very existence as a free nation could quite well be the actual stakes being played for by bush and harper right now. harper, if he is anything like bush (and he certainly, from what I have seen, seems to be), is a fascist by nature. Your corporations will dictate who is elected regardless of how the populace votes. bush won neither "election", but look how it turned out for him. I capitalize only names of those people or things that I respect . . . get it? Thank you for your excellent site and its great content. I get a little paranoid reading it sometimes, but it's because I have seen what's occurred over here and don't want the same thing for Canada and her people. God bless . . . go forward! P.S.--Yes, I am planning on moving back soon. We have a condo we have to (hopefully soon) sell first. Jack |

Michael,
thanks for being the first
visitor to post. I wish I had a prize to give you!
About the "Y" - Y not just go to the bottom of the list first and work your way up? Apparently, crops that contain a lot of water - and corn I think is pretty moist, although not maybe as wet as cucumber, say - will not do well in a nuclear winter because ice crystals will form inside. http://tinyurl.com/2gyzex People who think it might be okay to nuke Iran should take a gander at the movie Threads: http://tinyurl.com/yqru6m |
