Today's mission, should you choose to accept it ...

Seven important things to read, watch and do

(1)
Scroll through the Reader Comments You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn stuff, and you'll find out in what cities John J. Mearsheimer will be speaking when he visits Canada in a few days.  And if there's not enough there for your liking, post something yourself.

(2)  Check out Blog2  Ben Saifer of the Ottawa branch of NION has provided a short report on the challenge presented to Israeli Ambassador Alan Baker during his latest foray into apologetics for Israel, as well as a link to more detailed coverage of the event.

(3)  See the wonderful video that Carolle in Montreal forwarded with this comment:  "A great video that breaks down many stereotypes. These are the Muslims I know."

(4)  Check out what's going on with the European 9/11 truth movement. Thanks to Bill Douglas for the heads up on this: 9/11 Truth Evening at the European Parliament!  I was amazed to find out how much the European truth movement has grown. There is a ton of information at 9/11 Truth Europe.

(5)
Read The Muckraker Report  and follow the link to join Noam Chomsky and thousands of others in signing the "Jersey widows" petition for the release of 9/11 documents. (Also via Bill Douglas)

(6)  Read an article entitled "Canada's Secret War in Iraq".  Thanks to
Richard Sanders of COAT for sending it along.

Also: check out the discussion about this issue on the Rabble message board.  Anyone who thinks Canada is not involved in the mess in Iraq is sadly mistaken.

(7)  Time to seriously start following the US presidential primaries as the race narrows. You may already know that a couple of Clinton supporters have gone over to Obama, and George Bush Sr., Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mitt Romney have thrown their support behind Republican John McCain.

Chess pieces are being moved and pawns eliminated. Democrat Barack Obama reportedly has "the Black vote" and is neck and neck with Clinton. McCain has the all-important military mentality of the White House coup that occurred in 2000.  If Obama drops out, what will happen to "the Black vote"?  If Afro-Americans are so discouraged they stay home in droves, the election managers won't have to bother disenfranchising them as happened in the last race.

But a win for Hillary Clinton would be a repeat of the messy old Clinton administration - under the thumb of the neo-cons.

I think Obama said it all when he said of McCain: "George Bush may not be on the ballot this fall, but his tax cuts and his economic policies are"(AFPHis foreign policy too. So who do you think the election managers are likely to create a win for?

There are all sorts of quotes in the AFP article suggesting that McCain is the choice: "If you don't think John McCain is just as dangerous in the White House as George W. Bush, think again" Translation: He's the New World Order's golden boy. "Obama does not have the experience to serve our nation as commander in chief".  Translation: The wars will expand.

We may have to wait and see which presidential candidate gets invited to this year's Bilderberg conference because that seems to have indicated in the past who will be pres or PM (the Clintons, the Bushes, and all three of Jean Chretien, Stephen Harper and Paul Martin attended prior to being elected).
