No matter what excuse is used, Israel is
only attempting to fulfill the Zionist agenda
The whole world is watching, virtually
inert, as Israel commits war crime after war crime
And Christian fundamentalism is helping them do it by
inserting its end times mania into US politics at the most powerful
levels. The
same phenomenon has occurred in Canada, with Stephen Harper's Reform
party (I don't care what they call it, they're the right wing
evangelical Reform party) lending its support by mindlessly chanting
the mantra "Israel has the right to defend itself" - even in the face
of pre-meditated offences.
Why? Because they are too frightened by eschatological teachings
not
to believe that the whole of Palestine belongs to the Jews and that the
Palestinians deserve everything the Israelis do to them if they refuse
to get lost - and especially if they dare to fight back..
In fact, Rapture believers don't care much what happens to the Jews,
who merely play a small part in the last days scenario and will end up
slaughtered unless they convert to Christianity.
Neither do such fanatics care much for life on earth itself - in spite
of being best friends with Jesus - mainly because they are disgusted
that their fellow inhabitants don't know enough to keep certain
universal human proclivities hidden from view, as they themselves
do.
(How they hide them from an all-seeing, all knowing God is a puzzle.)
These are suiciders of the strangest sort, longing to end their pain in
the Rapture
which, according to their skewed Biblical interpretations, can't occur
until the Jews occupy all of the so-called "Holy Land".
Therefore, they are willing to do their best to help speed things up.
If you haven't seen the film "With God on our Side"
maybe it's time you did. You'll see so-called "born again"
Christians
admitting to compromising their own professed values - honesty is one,
respect for life is another - in order to grab more political clout and
a chance to prove their theories about Armageddon.
Last Days facts on the ground are literally being manufactured to
hasten the coming of Jesus. Some say George W. Bush is the
anti-Christ behind it all. But he's hardly in it all by
himself.
If Jerry
Falwell thought that AIDS and 9/11 were God's punishments for
sins, then he and other evangelical lobbyists, politicians and
voters who support them have obviously yet to get theirs, since
lying, stealing and murder - in thought or in deed - are supposed to be
anathema to Christianity.

children, women and elderly, the destruction of houses over their
owners' heads, the intimidation at the hands of Israel's military
machine," SPA said. "The kingdom strongly condemns these actions that
go against international law and humanitarian norms ... and contradict
what Israel says about its desire for peace."
The Saudis are
another group who do little beyond talk. They could probably put a
swift stop to both the siege and the occupation by threatening to pull
out all their billions in US investments (that is if the American dog
wags the Israeli tail and it's not the other way around).
"Watching" and "condemning" just doesn't cut it as action.
The entire international community shakes its collective head in
disapproval, but when does it threaten, en masse, to stop doing
business with Israel? On the contrary, Canada, for instance, is actively
seeking out trade with Israel.
Profit drives everything above all natural considerations. It's
driven
our modern wars regardless of any rhetoric regarding God, country and
"freedom". It can be used to end wars as well. Cut off the
money flow
and we'd soon be hearing from governments that, well .... maybe we
don't really need to be up to our ears in human blood after all.
Maybe
we can work out some kind of mutually beneficial deal.
We'd also find that the evangelicals would speedily re-interpret the
Bible to suit this new approach to international problem solving.
To be sure, Israel wants all the arable land and all of the water
supply. But it also needs international trade to survive, and even the
hardest-headed Zionist would not want to lose money on his investments.
For that matter, has anybody thought to ask what the purchase price of
a fanatical Jewish settler might be? How much you wanna bet
they'd
take the money and vacate, religious convictions and all. What's
keeping them where they are is their financial investment. The
spiritual bliss of making
aliyah
no doubt wears off eventually, and then they are stuck with having to
angrily and often viciously justify how they got such cheap
accommodations in Israel.
They'd leave in a heartbeat for the right price. Oh, for the
media
they would create a fuss as they did in Gaza, but they would
move.
Most Gazans, on the other hand, will stay put despite being the victims
of a holocaust. (We can use that word now, thanks
to Israel's Deputy Defence Minister.) Why?
Because for generations they have known no other homeland!

excuse for Israel to do what was planned all along, since at least the
time that the settlers were pulled out of Gaza to create a clear
killing field.
Any sane person knows that officially sanctioned murder as a solution
to anything is no solution at all. But when you have popular
"heroes", such as the
vacuous Prince
Harry,
enthusing over the joys of combat in Afghanistan, it's pretty much
guaranteed that a generous supply of gullible fans, already conditioned
by violent video games, will sign up for it.
And we're bound to have to boycott
businesses like Chapters/Indigo
whose major shareholders and CEOs are financing perks to those willing
to choose the Palestinian territories as the place to get their thrills.
