Down the rabbit-hole *
The
rabbit-hole
went straight on like a tunnel for some way, and then dipped suddenly
down, so suddenly that Alice had not a moment to think about stopping
herself before she found herself falling down a very deep well. * Alice in Wonderland
A few eggs for your basket, or something
to break your fall:
1)
From the Globe and Mail, Mar. 20: - Liberal defence critic Denis
Coderre commenting on the DND blueprints "found" in the trash.
He
used
the incident to mock a Canadian general's warning in February that the
military is cautious about what it releases, because Taliban insurgents
in Afghanistan are reading Canadian newspapers.
"Al-Qaeda
doesn't
have to read The Globe and Mail any more; all they have to do is look
for a garbage can and find something interesting from DND," Mr. Coderre
said.
Between the Globe
and
Coderre, what we have here is a double yolked Easter egg, laid for the
express purpose of synonymizing in the minds of Canadians "the Taliban"
with "Al Qaeda", to make both terms interchangeable in the demonization
of any Afghan villager who dares to fight the foreigners who have
invaded his country. Nicely glazed with a pretense of concern
about
our own national security.
It's a bonus egg in more ways than one. Deep inside is the
suggestion
that the Globe and Mail is an "Al Qaeda" informer. That should get them
a few more readers.
2)
The Associated Press,
a daily purveyor of unhealthy treats, swings a basket of hard-boiled
security analysts (definition of a modern security analyst: one who
promotes belief in Al Qaeda) to convince the world that Bin Laden is
alive but, alas, not well upstairs.
His brain is not only dead, it is clearly addled, cracked, scrambled or
possibly fried. Or
maybe he was thinking about Eggs Benedict and got sidetracked. (Do you
ever wonder if the Pope's closest pals call him "Eggs" for short?)
Poor, sad (and decomposing) OBL has forgotten that the US is evil and
that he's supposed to be unhappy about the war in Iraq. Instead,
he
seems to be giving Israel a reason to tighten its stranglehold on the
Palestinians, and more Christians a reason to support Israel.
3)
The Vancouver Sun claims to be puzzled by Canada's inaction in the
Khadr case:
Canada
and the U.S. have expressed their support for the Paris Principles,
which state that child soldiers "should be considered primarily as
victims of offences against international law." which state that child
soldiers "should be considered primarily as victims of offences against
international law."
The Paris
Principles
don't actually contain those oft-repeated words. No doubt they
are
derived from guidelines established at later conferences regarding the
recruiting of child soldiers.
I find it puzzling that the Canwest Easter Bunny waited until
Omar was an adult before putting him on the delivery list. Why
did he
spend so many Easters in Guantanamo with nary a peep out of the
chickens?
Even more puzzling to me is why the media never seem to question the
fact that even though Omar's family are proudly professed "Al Qaeda"
supporters, they have had free run of the barnyard all the while that Security
Certificate victims have either languished in Guantanamo North or
under house arrest playing Simon Sez with
control freaks.
Every
bunny basket contains a Mystery Egg. One that looks as if it got
mauled by the neighbour's dog. But why focus on only one?
Why genuflect over one crucifixion when there are thousands more? Why
not close down the Guantanamos stashed all over the world? Or is
that
just too life-affirming, too Christian for those whose motto is "kill
the scumbags"?
By the way, do you get the impression Rick Hillier is preparing to run
for office? Will there be a bloodless military coup in Canada
similar
to the one that occurred just prior to 9/11 in the US? From
the National Post, Feb. 22:
General
Rick Hillier, Canada’s top soldier, indicated Friday that his days as
chief of the defence staff are numbered, joking that he wants to put
the “general” into “general manager” by joining the front office of the
Toronto Maple Leafs. More seriously, he said his address before the
Conference of Defence Associations was likely to be his last.
4) Watch out for bombs that look like
sweets:
From the
Toronto Star: Cancer screening push aimed at poor, newcomers
Heartwarming.
I don't
believe in cancer myself, but statistics say that roughly half the
population will get it and the numbers are increasing, and it's
possible that there are some genuinely well meaning persons involved in
this project, even though it's such a huge and profitable
industry. Science
has created all sorts of highly-paid careers out of
it, and big pharm's shareholders pray every night that more people will
succumb to it.
Because of that, I can't help wondering what methods will be used to
coerce the poor and newcomers to put themselves into the hands of the
cancer establishment. Not to mention that, if our health care is
free,
why wouldn't they have been getting the same care as everyone else all
along?
In
England, cancer sufferers
(the poor ones, naturally; the ones who can't afford exotic treatments
abroad) are enticed into a game of Russian roulette where some receive
experimental drugs and others unknowingly get placebos.
All this is enough to make one pay closer attention to David Icke,
or at least to his treatise
on the hidden perils of the burgeoning varieties of pharmaceuticals in
the medicine cabinet of the average doctor-goer. Here's a quote
from
it:
Dr
Bruce
H. Pomeranz, principal investigator and a neuroscience professor at the
University of Toronto, headed one study that revealed how more than
100,000 Americans are killed by pharmaceutical drugs every year and
some 21 million are seriously harmed ... These are the same doctors,
within the same cartel-controlled medical industry, that condemn
alternative therapies as dangerous quackery!
There's
nothing to say that live, human experiments are not occuring in or
being
planned for Canada. Meanwhile, the government ruthlessly
disallows
experimentation with hemp. Why? Apparently because it's
free!
Watch this all
the way through - Run from
the Cure: The Rick Simpson Story
- and I guarantee that if you ever get cancer you're going to tell the
Easter Bunny and Santa both that all you want for the holidays is a
basket of hemp leaves and instructions on how to turn it into healing
oil. (Thanks to Barb for the Simpson link)
5) This next egg is a bit messy, but it's the
Surprise Egg.
Apparently, the
Jewish Defence League of Canada is suing the Canadian Arab Federation
for defamation (CJNews).
They posted an SPHR
item that quoted the FBI as saying the JDL is a terrorist
organization.
Surprise! The Anti-Defamation
League concurs with SPHR! (Thanks to Beesting for the ADL
link.)
6)
Here's an Easter Egg I never cease to enjoy. It's uplifting and
contains the whole essence of resurrection. If you haven't
already
experienced it, type about:mozilla
into the address bar of your Firefox browser and hit Enter. If you don't have
Firefox, download
it here and help to vanquish the carnivorous Microsoft.
